Preparation for the next noise mitigation project complete.
Foundation works at wind farm SeaMade will start shortly, the Nozzle Hose Deployment Vessel mobilization wind farm SeaMade is complete. Hydrotechnik Lübeck has completed the first preparatory phase on the deck of the Master Express in Cuxhaven. Two big hose winches are mounted on board with all the equipment of the Big Bubble Curtain. The assembly follows an exact deck layout, which was previously determined by the engineers of Hydrotechnik Lübeck GmbH. In Great Yarmouth, UK, 24 compressors were taken on board and also welded seaworthy. The Master Express is now located at the port of Flushing / Vlissingen in the Netherlands. The Big Bubble Curtain Team is now waiting for the start of the construction phase.
500,000 t less CO2 emissions per year.
In 2018, the two Belgian offshore projects Mermaid and Seastar, were merged. The result is the SeaMade project with 58 monopile installations. DEME Offshore was awarded the contract for the construction of the wind farm. For noise mitigation, during pile driving, Hydrotechnik Lübeck GmbH was commissioned. The SeaMade wind farm off the coast of Belgium will be equipped with 58 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines (8.4 MW) and generate a total output of 487 MW. The wind farm can supply 485,000 households with electricity. It is estimated that 500,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions could be saved each year.
